Preventive Maintenance for Hydraulic Pumps

Therefore, you should perform preventive maintenance to avoid some unnecessary mistakes. Preventive maintenance of hydraulic pumps involves many steps. Here are some things related to the preventive maintenance of the hydraulic pump.

Second, maintaining cleanliness is a crucial procedure for preventive maintenance. Besides, the equipment connected to the pump must be kept clean.

Third, you must drain and rinse the tank. Before the inside of the pump is removed from the tank, clean off the outside of the pump. There are some things to follow:

  • Remove the setscrews ten motors and pump it to the reservoir.
  • Cleaning the inside of the tank and filled with rinse oil suitable.
  • Then, disconnect the motor and pump, and drain and clean the inside of the tank. Finally, fill the tank with hydraulic oil. Place the pump and motor assembly (with sealing) in the tank, and the thread of the screws ten.

In addition to the aforementioned steps, the oil should be added to the tank. Before doing this, the key must be fully retracted and the power supply should be disconnected. You must clean the entire area around the filler cap before removing the filler cap and using a clean filter funnel when adding oil.
